Drown in nostalgia and go on an adventure in search of your missing childhood friend.

Dokimon is a game where you capture monsters to battle alongside and push through the dangerous open world. In advances to uncover the the mystery about your missing friend, you must become stronger, allowing you to venture on into increasingly dangerous areas.

Battle against fellow Dokimon battlers who are also on the quest to get stronger, and take down evil corporations that stand in your way and disrupt the peace.

Dokimon is a turn-based monster tamer game, with modern day QoL:

• Speed up battles by holding an action key

• Edit monster stats and move pools from your main menu (when in towns)

• Battle helper tips and tools (optional: off by default)

• Quest log, to make sure you dont forget what to do next

• 8bit + Piano OST, pick which one suits your preference

• 20+ Retro Color palettes, in case full color isnt your style

• 9 Playable characters to choose from

• 4 Save files, in case your friends want to try

Features

Dokimon takes inspiration from the "GameBoy Color" era of games, without the chunkiness of some of those old systems. (Like, the games systems.. not the consoles, we love those).

On your adventures, youll be able to discover:

• Over 140 unique, original monsters

• An adventure expanding across 15+ towns

• Several routes, caves, shrines (and others) to explore

• A 15-20 hour story mode, and endless fun for completionists

• Rare monsters to track down and capture in the games post story

• 7 alt-palettes for each monster (1 of which is incredibly rare)

• FISHING.. For Dokimon, of course

Built to last. Dokimon was developed in the MonMae engine

Dokimon was made in MonTamer Maker (MoMae), an engine that was made specifically for monster tamer games.

This engine continues to grow in its uses and features thanks to the community. Therefore, Dokimon may see free updates and additions to enhance your player experience.

Some additional features we would love to implement

• Translations The game has full localization support. Localization is coming asap

• New Story+ Play as the professor with a tweaked story, and new starter monsters

• Alternate game modes. For example: Randomized. Hardcore (Monster DIE), etc

• Character Editor: I thought it would be a great reward for beating the game

• Events: We will release some events that include new areas, cutscenes, and monsters

Ever since the Great Divide, Ive made it my mission to thoroughly document Dokimon on Earth. Dokimon are extremely dangerous creatures, so studying them profusely helps to ensure everyones safety. You probably already knew that, though.."
